Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know how to deactivate the spoiler without the dash light coming on at 75+ mph? I tried pulling the fuse: got the light at 75 I tried disconnecting the wiring at the spoiler motor: still got the light. For those that want to know why, I've got the after market fiberglass wing, and yes, it is starting to crack at the mounts. Just to make things a bit more interesting, I know that on the Aerokit I and II, the decklid is fiberglass and extends down to the edge of the bumper, eliminating the speed activated spoiler...there must be some way to deactivate the assembly without triggering the light.

POST 2Original post

You need to order this part# 986-612-981-23, cost about $16. Then follow these intructions, takes about 10 min to do: 5.6.2 Remove the rear luggage compartment lining of the rear luggage compartment and unclip the 6- pin plug connection to the drive of the retractable spoiler (located to the left of the lock on the bottom of the retractable spoiler carrier). 5.6.3 Disconnect the 6-pin plug connection and establish the plug connection with the 6-pin cable link. 5.6.4 Clip in the 6-pin plug connection onto the bottom of the carrier again. 6. Concluding work. Let me know if you need any help when you get the part. I added a wing as well

I knew I could count on someone here to have the answer. Thanks!

POST 4Original post

Hey just wondering how the cars balance at speed is affected with aftermarket wings..

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've never had the car over 100 for any length of time; I've never noticed any difference at any speed.

POST 6Original post

I did 120mph + the other day, feels fine. Gives good down force in the rear. The test is really on curves doing high speeds I would think. Have not tried that yet
