Actually what really happened was this car was purchased from the dealership used, the dealership then stored the car free of charge for several months, then the car was shipped to the OP in Germany to endure the winter months there.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What is the date code? Most consider older then 6 yrs too old, 8 yrs dangerous.

POST 4Original post

Actually what really happened was this car was purchased from the dealership used, the dealership then stored the car free of charge for several months, then the car was shipped to the OP in Germany to endure the winter months there. I believe there were also a few track days involved while in Germany. Now 8 or 9 months later he's complaining that his pre-owned car has pre-owned tires. From what I understand the tires had passed the pre owned inspection back before it was bought in August. Mike, if you wanted a new car then that's what you should have bought.

POST 6Original post

My friend Chuck has purchased three Porsches from PSA. Just recently a 911S and a Macan. I've visited the dealer three times in the last six months. Their sales staff leaves much to be desired. The first time I asked about ordering a GT3. No deal as they had no allocations. There are plenty for sale on Autotrader. Said they would call if they got one and never did. Second time, couldn't get anyone to help me, so I left. Recently, inquired about a 911 GTS. Wanted to order one. Said their computers were down, but would call the following week and let me know if they had an allocation. Two weeks went by with no call. In frustration, I called the GM and left him a detailed message stating I wanted to order a 911 GTS. My point is that if I am going to buy a new car, I'm going to order what I want. He leaves me a message the next day stating that "he couldn't believe they couldn't help me as they had several on the lot." I'm obviously a very poor communicator or they are a lousy dealership. The Mercedes I ordered following this foolishness just arrived. Here it is top front of the carrier. Picture taken this morning:
