Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run 18/19" wheel' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust arch liner' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

10 ran a 45 (which is like having a 22mm spacer) that's your limit ðŸ‘

I'm toying with adjusting the arch liner but it's not a big enough problem to push me into action yet.

So et45 on the front is the ideal offset to fill the arches?

Does anyone know what offset is needed to properly fill the arches WITHOUT using spacers?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone know what offset is needed to properly fill the arches WITHOUT using spacers?
8" front
10 or 11" rear
I'm thinking of new wheels but want the arches filling properly without using spacers. Jethro did a YouTube video of his 996 and fancy a set of those o.z wheels but want to avoid fitting spacers if possible.
I have ran both 18/19" wheel set ups.
8 fronts are between 50-57
10 ran a 45 (which is like having a 22mm spacer) that's your limit ðŸ‘
11 are 67 with 295/30 (current set up 19")

Yeah the fronts take some pushing out, mine are a 52os with a 7mm spacer (so like a 45os)
I'm sure the 996.2 has rolled arches standard (I could be wrong) hence fitting a 19" on mine. Got the H&R springs on order ðŸ‘
Yes the arches are rolled. Most look a bit tucked in at the front. Not really a nice look imo.
So et45 on the front is the ideal offset to fill the arches?
I have 9.5" x 19" ET45 resulting in a 13.7mm further poke out at the rear which works really well and 8.5" x 19" ET45 on the front. This results in a further poke out of 17.7mm but also moves the wheel around 15mm towards the strut which has resulted in a slight rub on full lock.
Are your fronts about as wide as you could get away with or would 5mm spacer stop the rubbing? I know I said no spacer if possible but just curious. Looks good mate.
I don't personally want to go any wider as they are close to flush with the top of the arch so haven't considered a spacer; however 5mm might just do it.
I'm toying with adjusting the arch liner but it's not a big enough problem to push me into action yet.
What tyres are you going to run?
I've had a LOT of wheels on mine and if you want flush on a 996 narrow body you are looking at
8.5in front from et45-40
10in et40 rear.
I've run et40 and et38 rear 10in with 265/35/18's and had zero rubbing. Current set I think are close to et35 and do poke very slightly if I'm honest but don't rub.
I think et40 on a 10in is probably spot on for how they sit.
Current wheels sit like this.
