Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all Can anyone point me to where I can get a replacement high level brake light for my 996 C4S, other than the obvious Porsche dealer? Hoping there's an option for something much less than the £250 ish I've seen online... Ta Michael (I took mine out to change a bulb and the plastic around the connectors just crumbled. Guess it's all the years of engine heat made them brittle)

POST 2Original post

I got a clear one from Design 911 for c£40. Looks OEM and you can fit in 10 mins. Looks great on my blue C4s.

POST 3Original post

I bought that one for my 996.2 c2, got the error message tho, needs a resistor 50W 6RJ if you have cruise control 👍(I've sold it on) Anyone have a link or bulb type for some LED error free bulbs? Are they T10 501? And how many...

POST 4Original post

The clear one from Design 911 was LED and fitted into my C4s without anything else required. Just plugged it in and it worked. No problem since.

POST 5Original post

Yeah, unfortunately didn't for mine, great price tho. I get some LED bulbs once I've figured out which I need 🧐
