Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, Last Friday I took my 911 for a drive in the country. At one point I downshifted to pass a car, up shifted to 5th at high RPMs and there was a "squeak". My wife heard it, but i didn't know what the sound was, but felt it. The road was smooth. No lights on the dashboard or noises otherwise. The car purrs nicely. On the way back, accelerating to prevent being blocked downshifted to fly to the leftmost lane, so was done shifting to the gear I wanted to stay on and I didn't hear the squeak, but lights flashed. High RPM and high speed. I coasted to the right lane while getting honks and fingers flipped. I am not sure what dashboard warning lights flashed but are among Brake Fluid, ABS, and OIL. I put the car in gear and made it home just fine. No lights, no weird sounds, again purring. I didn't check my brake fluid. I checked my oil. It is fine. This morning i decided to drive the car to work. Trying to get on a fast lane road at a busy intersection, I take off and after I shift to 2nd the lights flash again, but only one ... i am thinking it is ABS and the car did not sputter but like something missed as if it was going to die, but then i put the clutch in; and then back to normal and the car was fine. It is hard to describe...as if a quick break and go and slip. Anyone experience anything like this? I am waiting on my ELM ODB2 bluetooth connector to see if it can tell me anything....but the weird thing is that it seems to do it only at high RPMs. Other than that, it is the perfect car but worried that it will cause an accident or develop into something worse. Any ideas? 2001 911 Cab 45K miles IMS LN Engineering 2016
