yes they do as they run constant orange side lights for some reason and the brake lights blink for left and right IIRC.

That is correct, in fact I have a set already at my dealership waiting to be installed as soon as my car comes in, it will leave the dealership with clear side markers on and orange ones in the trunk.

To me it looks like the US cars have orange side indicators, and all the Euro pics show the Cayman with clear indicators. Do US side indicators have to be orange? With the Bumperettes and the orange side indicators, I'm glad I'm getting my car in the UK. They really spoiled some aspecs of the car in the US. Jack

Jack Our Federal regs dictate what's required of manufacturers. In this case, the amber lights & bumperettes. However, state laws determine what's legal for an owner on the street. Most states permit either amber or 'white' (i.e., clear) front indicator/side lighting. I think conversions to clear will be commonplace in the US. Although I removed the unsightly (& largely ineffective) front bumperettes on my 993, I've found those at the rear to provide some real protection from the many 'park by touch' SUV drivers we have here. I'd leave them on my Cayman. BTW, as penance for the above, Porsche is giving us a louder stock exhaust /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer2.gif

My dealer is installing the clear side markers for me for free when the car arrives. Thought that was a great deal. Course they are installing sport shift also (option price) so of course I am feeling good. Also makes it easier to bid on the hardback Prestige Brochure pack on ebay!!
