Suggestion

Hey i have a 2011 boxter it had some flood damage nothing too bad i replaced the rear bcm module to regain access to the storage compartments and open the convertible but i havent been able to open the convertible top , i suspect the issue is with the coding of the module since all the actual values for the microswitches seem to be normal , if anyone is able to help i have a piwis system i just dont have an online log in.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Hey - nice to meet you. How about heading over to https://www.planet-9.com/forums/new_members/ and introducing yourself and your vehicle. What did the replacement rear BCM come from (BCM module is redundant.. body-control-module-module?) Was it a Boxster or a Cayman? Are the part numbers identical? Have you examined the contacts looking for corrosion - on the harness connector? Having an on-line login for a PIWIS costs about $15,000/year - so I don't think you'll find many people here who have that. Could you still talk to the old module? Some diagnostics software has the ability to read the settings of the module being replaced and then program them into the new (used) module. BTW - this thread is being moved to a diagnostics/tech section - it's not really "chat"..

POST 3Original post

Also note - I retitled your post so people have some clue what it's about. I'd suggest reading: https://www.planet-9.com/threads/be...ore-posting-a-technical-question-read-this.253613/?post_id=2209377#post-2209377 before posting again. Better questions get better answers.
