Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I decided to wait until I changed my struts to have it aligned.*

The toe changed very slightly, but the camber and castor was the same.*

When I look to buy the arms some sites say the arms they are selling are not to be used for Litronics.

Suggestion
Don't know if replacing the "coffin" arms would require replacing the struts unless one is missing.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It sounds (literally) that I need to replace the coffin arms. I have Litronics lights. When I look to buy the arms some sites say the arms they are selling are not to be used for Litronics. It seems the leveling sensor for Litronics is mounted on the arm. Anybody shed some light on this?
There is also some disagreement on wether or not you need to have an alignment after this task is done. What do you think?
thanks
#20 here is the strut for the Litronics. You can also see the attachment points. Don't know if replacing the "coffin" arms would require replacing the struts unless one is missing.

thanks DBJ. The arms pictures I have seen seem to have a hole in the right place to mount sensor.
Anybody know if there is an alignment procedure when you re-mount sensor on a new arm??
The cheaper ro control arms from RockAuto accepted my Litronics rod just fine.*
I didnt do an alignment, but I measure my toe before and after.*
I have a full set of manual alignment tools, but Im not that adept at alignments.*
The toe changed very slightly, but the camber and castor was the same.*
I decided to wait until I changed my struts to have it aligned.*
So so you might need a wheel alignment afterwards, but maybe not.*
Must just be the one you called. Call around, I called three in town before I found one.
No kidding, the senior tech that did my car, his name is "Jack Carrera"! He's been doing Porsche's for over 20 years. He was very meticulous and did a fantastic job!
If you can't find one in Houston, pop over to San Antonio and we'll get "the world's BEST cup of coffee" while they align your car. He's at the Firestone at Culebra and 1604 on the west side of town.
