Look up any short shifter install and they will show you. You have to remove it to put in the shifter.

I'll add a tip (assuming it isn't mentioned in the video). If you don't have a Porsche specific OBDII scanning tool, DO NOT START the car when the seat belt warning light in the console is disconnected from its harness. That will throw a code which must be cleared manually.
