Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have an 06 CS with 38k miles. I went on a 180 mile cruise today with a lot of stop & go traffic, a lot of clutch engagement. As I approached the end of my drive, the clutch pedal started to progressively approach bottom to the point where it wouldn't allow me to shift gears (without rev matching). I pulled over, grabbed the pedal, pulled up on it (the method for adjusting my Fox body Mustang clutch) & it literally popped right into it's normal position. What's going on? Has anyone else experienced this?

POST 2Original post

Sorry, can't offer any advice on your Cayman clutch. But, I can sure relate to the Foxbody adjustment procedure. Back in the day, I had done that quite a few times. Just had to keep your fingers crossed the plastic clutch quadrant wouldn't lose a tooth!

POST 3Original post

Docman, first you may want to try to bleed the slave cylinder to see if this fix the low pedal issue, note that the hydraulic reservoir for the clutch is the same as the one for the brakes, not sure how long ago you flushed your brake system (supposed to be every other year), but when you flush the brakes, you are supposed to bleed the slave cylinder as well. The shop manual calls to bleed the slave "with the pedal on the floor" (for about 20 seconds..!), and afterwards you have manually pull the pedal up again. I used a "Motive Power Bleeder" and this tool helps flushing your system very easy.
