Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I’m a bit confused. Everytime I start by 987 Boxster S , I get the “Check front left side light” warning, and it remains while the vehicle is on. All the lights are illuminated fully. I pulled the plug on the side marker and it still isn’t dismissing the warning. I feel like I’m missing something?

POST 2Original post

I don't know for sure, but has the bulb been replaced with an LED ? I imagine if that happened, then the current-draw would be reduced and the ECU may think it's not working. Ideally, both would have been replaced and so it should show both lights with an error, but maybe one is borderline on the current and the other is not? Also, I'm not sure why removing the plug on that marker light would solve the issue? I would think that would also cause the same error?

POST 3Original post

As mentioned on another light bulb thread, double check to make sure the bulb is the correct one, including the required wattage.

POST 4Original post

If you solve it please post an update here. Mine has the same message and I haven't been able to get it to go away either. I just acknowledge it and it goes away, but the big red exclamation point warning light stays on all the time. The bulbs haven't been replaced and haven't been converted to LED so not sure what is going on with mine.

POST 7Original post

Hey there, did you ever figure this out? Mine randomly started doing this, even though I haven't changed a bulb or anything. The warning did show up soon after I replaced my frunk switch but surely those can't be related at all haha

POST 8Original post

Nope! No clue what the issue is. The bulb hasn't changed since I got the car, and it hasn't gone away. I did replace my frunk switch, but that was a year before this error started occurring

POST 9Original post

ah bummer, but thanks for getting back to me. If it hasn't caused issues down the line then I guess I'll live with it until I have time to diagnose it properly. Also really dig the rims on your car, kinda Ferrari-esque

POST 10Original post

Have you considered swapping left and right bulbs to see if the message follows?

POST 11Original post

I have the same problem, as well as a warning about the Spoiler if i go over 80 and it is up and deployed.

POST 12Original post

I concur with browncf When I received a "check right front side light" warning, it was actually referring to a light in the right fog light assembly. The fog lights have a couple of settings and it was only noticeable in one of them. Seems most are assuming it is a marker indicator, might not be the case, hence the marker appearing fine.
