Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've uploaded 2 videos of the car. Bear in mind that the car hasn't been started since before Christmas, the temperature in the dealers storage unit is close to zero and the place echoes. First video is start up from cold. Second is after it has run a bit and the exhaust water vapour has diminished. OK, the big issue here is what do people think to the engine sound anything majorly untoward? Bore score/piston slap? I know this is subjective and I'm not holding anyone's observations to account. This is to gauge whether I go further with the purchase and get a PPI done at some point. If the consensus good I'll proceed if a big no no them I can pull out now and not incur expense of a PPI. Thanks in advance for anyone's views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmhjnPw5QME https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6OutHF1fcs
