Changing the dash and rear speakers has helped it but it's still pretty rubbish tbh.

Also I think a few grand here and there won't make much difference in the medium-long term as that may be swallowed up with running costs..!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good morning all. I've just put a holding deposit on this Lapis Blue C4S. My first Porsche.
https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10870508?
Dealer is holding for me till I can get to view the vehicle at some point post lockdown. Dealer is in Wetherby I'm in Bucks.
Not a Porsche specialist dealer but very helpful and not pushy at all. The car has a good service history backed up by invoices from the likes of Porsche Strasse, Porschetech, RPM Tecknik. It's had all the usual things attended to IMS etc. Service history as follows.
12338mls, 20771mls, 28101mls, 32663mls, 38961mls, 44583, 50516, 54519, 58390, 62732, 66163, currently at 68K miles and will be serviced at Porsche Strasse before delivery. I'll ask them to do a borescope and a quick PPI as well.
MOT history looks good with some fails and advisories but these all be rectified immediately.
Spec is good - Lapis Blue with Savanah Beige leather, Litronic lights, Cruise, Electric heated seats, sunroof (not bothered either way) No Bose or parking sensors (can't have everything).
The main driver for me was the service history, colour and spec, apart from the first service at 12K miles and 2.5 years after delivery (there is a story behind that). It's been serviced every year on the button regardless of mileage (av 3.8k miles a year).
If anyone has any thoughts or opinions let me know.... I can still pull out of the deal!
Good on you, looks a cracking car! I am in the same position as you - deposit on a car but can't go and see it. I am on the Bucks/Herts border and the car is near Leeds. Very frustrating!!
Not an easy time to buy a car. as no matter haw many photos, how much information and the warm feelings you just don't know until you see the car for real.

I know the feeling very well indeed!! Watching way too many 996 videos and reading reviews these days. The list of upgrades is growing by the minute...
That is a nice looking motor :thumb: and looks like it has been well looked after! Not usually a fan of the tan interior but that looks nice and suits the Lapis Blue! Good spec, would not be bothered about non Bose, a decent head unit and speakers is a very worthwhile mod unless you want to keep original, but easy to put back!
If you're happy with the colour combo you've certainly been looking long enough to know whether the price is right for the car you've found.
To my mind it's 'top whack' but that's not an issue if it's a 'top car'.
Price is still to be agreed as I haven't seen it yet so maybe some haggle room. I've been looking at C4S's for about 8 months and yes there are cheaper ones but when you dig into the details there are a lot of potential issues i.e. higher miles, 10+ owners and MOT history checks that throw up loads of fails and advisories at every MOT which makes you wonder if anyone looked after the car in the first place. £26K seems to be about right for the car, I've seen others up in the mid £30k's!

What's Bose?!! I didn't ask about the sound system in my car...
I think as cars get to this age, finding one with the right maintenance and condition is more important but can understand if others take a different approach. I will probably mod my car anyway so won't be OEM.
Only thing I really wanted was a non-sunroof car but that's all the requirements I had.
Also I think a few grand here and there won't make much difference in the medium-long term as that may be swallowed up with running costs..!
I wouldn't be concerned over Bose or not tbh. I have Bose in mine and it's rubbish. Changing the dash and rear speakers has helped it but it's still pretty rubbish tbh. There not known for having great stereos and you won't really notice it as you will be to busy smiling.
I can't get the link to work, infact I cant ever get a link to work on this forum? Any help on that would be appreciated. I'll trawl piston heads for the ad.
