Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Might want to take the plinth off and inspect behind it to see if previous owners have screwed right though the front bumper in multiple places.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm picking up my (new to me) Porsche 996.2 tomorrow and need to order some new number plates, are they a standard UK size (W 552 X H 122)? Alan

POST 2Original post

I think the plinth is smaller than a UK plate. Certainly is on the 997. Might want to take the plinth off and inspect behind it to see if previous owners have screwed right though the front bumper in multiple places. EDIT: Just seen the pic on your Newbie thread. Looks standard size to me.

POST 4Original post

I bought some legal ones from Ebay for £12 delivered per set, in standard size and they fitted my 996.1. I do however, have some Porsche Classic Number plate holders, so you can screw that to the car and clip the plates in without having to drill the plates. https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod...&utm_source=adrac&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=
