Los Angeles South Bay. Got a knock on the 07 cayman S . Just bummed. Is there anything I could do or just take it to a reputable shop?? Can you recommend a shop / ingine builder?? Sincerely bummed larry I do have a appointment with Callas Rennsport.....

Try racing motor oil like Motul competition 300 V 15W 50 and see if that works. Its not cheap but may help. Better than a $20k bill.

I would suggest Tony Carras shop in Torrance Torrance Porsche and BMW Repair - Callas Rennsport Tony has a lot of experience building these engines (he teaches the engine assembly class along with Jake Raby's at Flat6 Innovations).
