Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Having recently noticed an ominous leak of greenish fluid from the front driver's side, I took the car into my local indy for assessment - it seems that I have got a stone lodged in one of the radiators and it has sprung a leak. Needs replacement. The good ? news is that it is not a deterioration thing and therefore doesnt need both rads replacing. What sort of cost should I be looking at ? - do I have to remortgage the house ?! Car is Nov 03 (04 model) but has done only 20000 miles. Chris

POST 2Original post

The radiator itself is about 130 pounds plus vat.

POST 3Original post

And about 2-3 hours labour. My standard Carrera radiator cost £110 +vat and I replaced it myself in 3 and a half hours so no rocket science involved.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys - I'll hold back from remortgaging the house this time then ! Chris

You can usually find these on Ebay at a fraction of the full price. Try Douglas Valley Breakers; I've had some decent parts from them at axcellent prices.
