Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I recently went to west london OPC and spoke to the head tech Paul, who took the car out fro a test drive, and was told it not the CV or top mount as he described how the car would feel it it was, but he told me me that from his experience its not serious, but it up to me if i wanted it checked out, basically he seemed very honest an upfront (makes a change!).

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
I have a 2003 C4s with 30k miles on the clock its developed a creaking sound around the front n/s, however when i was a passenger recently it seems as tho the noise moves from the front n/s to the front center area.
So i left it, and the other day i was driving past OPC east london...so i thought id get a second opinion, basically apart from the free road test (which soon as the fitter i'll call him, opened his mouth told me No way are these guys getting my car, basically i told him about i fellow 911uk'er who had the same problem and posted the result to be the N/S drive shaft on his c4s. Mr fitter told me soon as i finished that it cant be that as the drive shaft is at the back! to which i told him its four wheel drive?!?! to which he responded.."oh yeah...yeah"...) :frustrated:
Basically the service guy wanted £150 for a diagnosis, to get it on the ramp even tho the car is under warranty (old style).
Can someone shed some light on the whole process of getting a car checked out through warranty...As with my other car it drive to Merc, tell them theres a problem, and they sort it...
Many thanks,
H :?: :?: :?:
What a bunch of theiving Sharks! You need to speak to the dealer you prefer and ask the head of service to email you with details of how to get a fault checked out under warranty. As the warranty is probably backed by Porsche GB they'd probably be glad of the work as they'll be able to recover their costs.
As long as they put it in writing that there'll be no costs you'll be able to benefit from the warranty.
Good luck

they do creak tho' , probably ARB bush that's a tad dry. Mine does it. OPC replaced both lower controls arms still does it,
I wouldn't worry too much although it can be a bit annoying. get under there with some silicone spray?
