Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

All you would do with the concentrated stuff is dilute it with water to give 'ready to use'.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, my indy told me to use extreme red longlife coolant, as thats whats in it now..i want to buy some for any topping up, but they have two kinds..concentrated or ready to use...is 'ready to use' ok? cheers again

POST 2Original post

Of course it is. All you would do with the concentrated stuff is dilute it with water to give 'ready to use'. It's basically for people like me...lazy! (That's not a reflection on you though) Pete

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi mate, actually i think it is a reflection on me too... I knew it should be ok but wanted to check as i read a post on here once saying to never mix different coolants etc..and to make sure the mix of water and coolant is the always the same..!! dont know if theres anything in that, but as you say...even if they've mixed it themselves when fitting my new radiator and i top it up with ready to use it cant possibly do any harm...im going bloody mad over this car i reckon.. cheers peter

POST 4Original post

Peter, there is truth that it's best not to mix different coolant types and the colour gives them away as they are different. The easiest thing to do is stick to the same brand as you are doing which makes it easy and you can't go wrong. One finds oneself being a bit hanal but if your coolant is orange red and you add the green stuff well it's gonna eventually be a strange colour. Pete
