Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

As for the gold, I though black was hard to keep clean, anything that shiny paint or otherwise must be awful to keep clean.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 6Original post

Oh Man, With that much disposable income, I would rather buy a Carrera GT. Then I could total it like Lewis Hamilton's ol' man, and be airlifted back to the track for more fun. Ike

POST 7Original post

The natural progression of a $100K Carrera>Turbo>Cabriolet.... in the 1920's they would have said this was a real sport's car and not a sports car.

POST 8Original post

POST 11Original post

POST 12Original post

POST 13Original post

There is a pink 996TT Cabrio I see all the time near my office, It is FOUL

POST 14Original post

I like the etching on the intake scoops and the side mirrors but damn... talk about a 2 dalla hoe magnet! No disrespect to 2 dalla hoes...

POST 15Original post

One of my sisters boyfriends wanted to chrome paint a corsica.... Fortunately she's not with that guy anymore. As for the gold, I though black was hard to keep clean, anything that shiny paint or otherwise must be awful to keep clean. And pink boxsters? I've got a friend who has pink wheels on a blue boxster, looks pretty good actually! I think the wheels are all pink now but this was the only pic I could find.

POST 16Original post

I think the pink and blue on your friend's car looks good because it's got a racing look. But when you start just randomly painting wheels pink it just doesn't work.

POST 17Original post

Someone did a gold boxster a while ago, and it looked just as bad. I wouldn't want a gold car, blue is hard enough to keep clean. The pink on that racing Boxster looks okay. The owner is actually a member here: http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10897&highlight=touch+paint

POST 18Original post

Have you guys read this? If not, I highly recommend this book. Great read.

POST 19Original post

What is that book about? I can't read the small print on the cover.

POST 20Original post

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1592287921/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top "How I sank a small fortune into a used car and other misfortunes" is the subtitle. Sheesh. I could have written that book easily.
