Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Richard, In either the DME manual, or techniks there is a page that shows the values that the ECU should be reporting if the car is running correctly. This page I once found had the degrees of timing at idle (I think 5-7 degrees =/- x percentage). This page was really useful, and I wish I would have book marked it, but I've been through all the papers I can find and all I see is 'Controlled by DME). Any ideas where this is?

Workshop Manual>Group 0 Diagnosis, Part 1>Section 24 - DME Setpoints (Page 24-D7) That's off the top of my head, of course! [ ]

Aha, legend! One problem with having so much data is remembering where to find it. cheers,

Glad to report back that it's running fine and all checks out I hadn't checked the values since installing the new hall sender, I was just pleased it had been running fine! Had a bit of spare time and thought I would give it the once over
