Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, After all the talking of engine failure, I'm finding myself becoming a little paranoid about mine. I notice that when the car is in low revs (just enough for 3rd gear in 'D") the engine almost feels like it's going to stall, but doesn't....a very, very slight juddering and movement on the revs (I'd say no more than 2mm on the needle). Almost exactly like it needs to change gear, but the auto box doesn't want to. It does change down if I drop the revs very slighty. In other words, it seems to happens right on the edge between 2nd and 3rd. It's happened a couple of times and I'm wondering whether it's paranoia and it's always done it, or whether it's developing a fault that needs to get checked out. Cheers.

POST 2Original post

I wouldn't become paranoid about your engine as the debate on the other threads is 'less' about the reliablity of the engine (failure rate appears to be a very low) and 'more' about how Porsche react when it does Sorry but can't tell from your description whats causing the judder - someone will no doubt recognise the problem (if it is one)
