Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Lads, I very occasionaly get the Brake Disk and PSM warning lights come on. As soon as i turn the engine off and turn it back on though they dissapear and i might not see them again for a week or two or three. Same thing, as soon as I turn the engine off and back on they go and i dont see them again? Any ideas? Also - did anyone know how to take out a 1999 C4 996 wing mirror (just the mirror) and put one back in? I didnt get any answers before  All advice is helpful. Cheers Dan.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have i been blacklisted gents or is it a really stupid question???

POST 3Original post

mirror glasses are clipped on , so just need a little persuasion to get them off, same when puttin them back just dont press too hard as you may crack the new one... sometimes when both these lights come on you may find you have a faulty brake light switch.. suppose youve checked all the obvious things like fluid level and brake pad thickness.. if not get it in somewhere foe checking out
