Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi I about to install a third party stereo, and the previous 3rd party radio i tried did not activate the ASK amplifier, so i have now ordered a harness where i can connect the pins needed. But, to be able to activate the ASK amplifier, i found this one cable (Black/Red), going from the ISO PIN 2, to the ASK Amplifier, but when plugged in to the original PCM 2.1 i can't seem to figure out what PIN 2 do, when using the test lamp, it does not give a +12V or Ground. I found a thread with a Parrot system, where he just gave it +12V, but i want to be 100% sure of this and get this confirmed. I have attachted a picture with the wire in question, that goes from the PCM , BANK A, PIN 2, and into the ASK Amplifier.

POST 2Original post

You didn't list the generation, but I suspect it is a 987.1 I did a bunch of research for the 987.2 and it appears there are differences in at least wire colors. Here is a link to the wiring for the 987.2 , don't know if it will help: https://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman...ter-electronics/180041-987-2-ask-sound-package-plus-wiring-amp-upgrade-how.html ...and another with plug descriptions for, I believe, a 987.1 (scroll all the way to the bottom of the page): https://www.seicane.com/inch-androi...-bluetooth-gps-navigation-system-mp3-music-wifi-steering-wheel-control-s085689f

POST 3Original post

Its the first gen (2007) In the link you sent, there is no explanation for the PIN 2 in the ISO plug , the AMP-CON is in the ACC spot, so that cabel will never work.

POST 4Original post

Ok, that is supposed to interface with a 987.1 ... I don't think I can help you out, sorry.
