Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had the misfortune of having some spotty youngster bump my car, so it's gone into the bodyshop, no real damage it was just a first gear "tap" (still £1000 to fix though at Porsche Leeds). However, after insisting on a "like for like" replacement courtesy car whilst it was being done I was given the details of a firm called Accident Exchange, who have been great thus far .... this morning at 8am they delivered a '57" reg Carrera S manual and took my 996 away! - now thats a result! Hopefully Porsche Leeds will take their time fixing mine before it has to go back!

POST 2Original post

Result. :thumb: Keep on top of the body shop which I believe is in Bradford. Insist on their best body/paint sprayer. I think the Body shop burnt down a while ago. Anyway, they do all sorts of cars IIRC not just Porsche so you might get a young lad on a YTS which might not turn out as well as you hoped.... Just thought I'd mention it....

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

worth knowing - thanks mate. I must say the 997 is quite an improvement on my 996, i prefer the interior and got to say the manual is way way more fun the the tiptronic! I'll be sad to see it go!

POST 6Original post

My nephew just bought a 2005 997S Tip coupe with PASM, and I was blown away by the improvement in ride quality over the 996.
