Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hello guys just came home from a failed mot test...as the driver side suspension coil was broken!!! actually in two parts....its a lowered spring too so need to find replacements..were on the car when i bought it so not even sure what size springs to get as mine has the gt3 kit and classic sport wheels etc...noticed the engine temp slowly climbing beyond about 85 and sat idylling for 20 mins and the fan wouldnt come on either!! ahhh..i dunno :what: looked under the car when it was raised and noticed half of one of my under trays (the biggest one) has half of it missing and looks like it was bitten off by an alligator!! not done while ive owned it...so need to get on ebay/design911 to see what the damage is... anyone had experience with faulty fans? regards peter

POST 2Original post

Sorry to hear about your MOT failure. The fans can of course fail, they are in quite a hostile environment. If you can jump out the temperature switch that switches the fans on you should be able to see if the fans have failed, or the switch itself. Perhaps someone else can tell us which temperature switch turns on the fans, I would guess it's on the block somewhere. :dont know: good luck Ray
