i know there are tons of threads about dension and ipod adaptors. i have used this forum tons to get info, thanks for keeping it up to date.
i installed the gtwy500 into a cdr24/bose/no changer cayman s this week. installed the unit then had the dealer program for cd changer. worked fine from the minute the dealer did the reprogram. after a few days i noticed the annoying repeat song setting was turned on by the dension unit. i had v1.05, so i updated. i was successful in the upgrade but the cdr24 froze and i could not access anything in the stereo. i did all the updates going up to 2.05 and then back down to 1.05 with the hope of returning to my previous state. nothing. so i panicked and reset the dension, no luck, then i panicked some more and reset the cdr24 by pulling the fuse. this got the cdr24 working again, but no luck with the dension. after all that here are my questions.
any chance the cd changer program could have been reset or put back to no changer with pulling the fuse?
also anyone else have a similar problem and able to pull out of it, any suggestions for me?
thanks.
Mine turns on the repeat song setting as well.
I previously had an Ice link in my Audi which had even more foibles, that I just learned to live with.
I just go to settings and turn the repeat off - never gave it a second thought till you mentioned it.
I have the same problem. Even when I go into the settings and turn off the repeat, it still turns back on to repeat when I start the car on occasion. I wonder if there is a way to turn the repeat permanently off on the ipod. Possibly a software hack. Also does anyone else's shuffle turn on by itself the same way as the repeat?
Add me to the list.
It is a very random occurrence. I wish it would happen when I'm paying attention so I could try to determine the causes. I did the same thing matty did and eventually ended up going back to v1.05 which has its quirks but at least it works. (hey... that rhymes
)
Hi!
If somebody wants to find out what's wrong please PM me! I can help with this, hopefully.
If the installation is ok, there shouldn't be these kind of problems with 2.05.
But we can also try 2.07. (It's now ready, also it will be available through webpage in some days.)
Sure, I would love to help. But since I did the upgrade I can't get the unit back to working condition. Still wondering if I screwed up the cd changer programming by pulling the fuse?
I don't think you can change the CDC programming with doing anything with the fuse.
Most probably you have a compatibility issue with 2.05 SW.
What if you downgrade to 1.05? I bet it will start working. We can try a modified 2.07 then.
