Suggestion

So unless you want the front of your car sitting 1-2 inches higher than the back, I'd recommend against it - after all, springs suspend the weight of the car so using springs from a model of car that is so differently weighted is just a mistake waiting to happen....

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

guys will these go on a 1998 996 c2 coupe even though it says c4 cabrio? i know i probably just answered my own question but you never know..lol peter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....ksid=p3907.m29&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=I&otn=2

POST 4Original post

They may fit but think about this. A c4 has a 4wd drive train over the front wheels. What doesn't a C2 have? Yep, you got it, 4wd. So unless you want the front of your car sitting 1-2 inches higher than the back, I'd recommend against it - after all, springs suspend the weight of the car so using springs from a model of car that is so differently weighted is just a mistake waiting to happen....
