Anyways...since ive just found that my driver side front suspension coil is broken..i went to my local indy (jaz) to have a chat and they said replacing the springs with eibach ones is a good idea but if the whole suspension is ten years old why not take up porsches offer on the M033 retrokt for £540 which is normally £1200+...trouble is my car is lowered 30mm and has the gt3 kit, 18inch classic sports..(see profile pics) etc and the porsche kit will lower it only 10mm...will it look odd?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi guys you all may have seen my previous posts recently...am not having the best time :? Anyways...since ive just found that my driver side front suspension coil is broken..i went to my local indy (jaz) to have a chat and they said replacing the springs with eibach ones is a good idea but if the whole suspension is ten years old why not take up porsches offer on the M033 retrokt for £540 which is normally £1200+...trouble is my car is lowered 30mm and has the gt3 kit, 18inch classic sports..(see profile pics) etc and the porsche kit will lower it only 10mm...will it look odd? too high up? they said the spring probably broke because the cars too low??? maybe they meant with all the humps and potholes on the london roads....what do you think guys..any help is grately headed.. peter

POST 2Original post

Hi Peter, I had a carrera 4 with MO30 suspension fitted which i was happpy with. Then my dad bought a carrera 2 with bilstein adjustable suspension fitted, lowered to around 35 mm over standard. I was no longer happy with my car next to my dad's. The stance of the car around 30mm lowered is such an improvement over standard. I don't think you (or anybody) would be happy with a car that sat higher than before (unless you own a monster truck) but again this is just my opinion. FYI, I sold my car and bought my dad's from him such was the improvement in my eyes of the lowered suspension, with the GT3 kit looks just like a GT3 with the correct stance. I'll try and get some pics up of the two together for your comparison.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi clive thats exactly what im sceptical of!! dont wanna be conning myself after tell myself i cant notice the 20mm rise..lol i know it sounds mad, but yr right if the stance isnt right especially with the gt3 kit, it wont look right i think...hmmm cheers peter
