I've also changed the tips over from one set of mufflers to another, and there is a fair bit of adjustment, so you will probably be able to get the tips spot on by loosening the clamps enough to move the tips into an even position and retightening.

Hello all Just had a Dansk sports exhaust fitted to my '01 Carrera 2, but have noticed a lot of vibration and judder at low revs. Also noticed a slight alignment problem, with the R/H tailpipe protruding about 25mm further than the L/H one. Had it fitted by a reliable local garage, but not a Porsche specialist. Another one is on order, but I would appreciate any fitting advice to pass on to the garage Any ideas ?

The Dansk exhaust tips fit in an almost ball and socket type joint like all other tips. There is alot of play and movement available to get them aligned and level. I think you/they just need to loosen up the clamps and move them about until you/they get them straight.

No, both sides have been replaced. The UK supplier has agreed to exchange it due to the vibration issues. Just one other point, the mechanic managed to replace it without dropping the rear bumper panel, whereas I understood that it had to come off. Perhaps that's why the tail pipes are misaligned ? Thanks for the info so far

Don't worry about that, the mufflers can easily be dropped out without removing the rear bumper. Anyone else had vibration issues with a Dansk? At low revs it feels like my teeth will fall out ! Also got a fair bit of exhaust 'boom' when the engine warms up properly, I expected a change in exhaust pitch but not to the extent that it sounds like its blowing.
