This is not a probability of success.

I ordered my CR with the Halogen's since I didn't care for the headlight washers nor for the extra weight and complexity of the adaptive headlights, once I picked up my car I swapped the lights to Xenons, so I don't have a need for foglights on my car.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hello 2009+ Cayman owners! I am nearing the completion of the development work on my 2009+ Cayman LED Spars with Radiator Guards and would appreciate your participation in this interest survey. This new Cayman modification will be similar in design and function to my 2006-2008 Cayman LED Spars with Radiator Guards (see: http://www.planet-9.com/news-items/...news-items/64172-cayman-led-spars-radiator-guards-fits-2006-2008-group-buy.html ). I'd further appreciate if all 2009+ Cayman owners to vote on this interest survey would do so based on the premiss that my part will again meet or exceed Porsche OE quality. Delivering an updated and enhanced look for your Cayman with the added benefit of radiator/AC condenser protection, I hope you'll vote yes! (please, 2009+ Cayman owners' votes only please). Thank you! Joe

POST 2Original post

You are on a roll Joe. Keep up the good work. I hope the Gen 2 guys show as much support as the Gen 1 guys!

POST 3Original post

I'm in for a Gen 2 set! When do you think you'll start working on them?

POST 4Original post

Hello inphamus, I'm happy to learn that you're interested! I'd appreciate if you then would vote "yes" on the above interest survey. I will begin to commit my resources just as soon as there are enough interested parties. Thank you! Joe

POST 5Original post

Obviously participation (respondents) to this 2009+ Cayman LED Spars with Radiator Guards will be in direct proportion to the about of initial views. And the initial views on this thread are very low. I'm beginning to conclude albiet premature that the 2009+ Gen 2 Cayman owners are so satisfied that they don't even read this thread. Is this a fair assertion? Thanks, Joe

POST 6Original post

Not really, Some of us have the j.copeland mesh installed. Plus, at least in my case, I don't have BIX where the foglight is a DRL. With halogens the foglight is still useful and this mod would eliminate that; I think. The other reason I can think of is that Gen I owners like that which we Gen II owners already have; so to speak. HTH

POST 7Original post

FWIW, I'm one of the members that voted yes. I have never cared for the round foglights on either my previous 2008 Cayman S Sport or for the one on my Cayman R. If I still had my 08 CSS I would more than likely have ordered a set. I ordered my CR with the Halogen's since I didn't care for the headlight washers nor for the extra weight and complexity of the adaptive headlights, once I picked up my car I swapped the lights to Xenons, so I don't have a need for foglights on my car. Since the 987.2 already comes with the DRL's maybe just having a spar that covers the previous location of the foglight assembly and keeps the OEM DRL in place might be the way to go. Wether or not a set is designed and manufactured for the Gen2 I'm glad that a vendor stepped up and provided a good alternative for the Gen 1 cars.

Since the last post was almost 9 yrs ago, I'd say nothing. Not gonna happen. BTW, acording to his profile, j_copeland died 2/20/2012 (about 1 month after his last post in this thread).
