Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

35 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am thinking with the wheels, calipers, emblem, and the interior trim, the stripes might be too much now. I am thinking I need to remove them. What do you think, should they stay or should they go? Before Before After After

POST 2Original post

I always like simple. Nice car, great color, I would lose the stripes.

POST 5Original post

Not a fan of stripes on a Porsche unless they are simple and tapers from the emblem

POST 6Original post

+996 not a fan of the stripes Maybe a mk1 gt3 bumper to match the side skirts and wing if you have the itch to modify. I'd swap the wing for a taco one but that's just my opinion

POST 7Original post

Black top, red body, black wheels, red calipers, black stripes. Thematic, I say keep it. The wheel crests set it off as well.

i am painting my Gt3tek lip right now and will install it Wednesday. I am in lust with my wing though. That is staying for sure!

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 14066422

Nice! Will look awesome IMO at the moment it looks slightly incomplete without the front because you have the sides and wing. Current wing does look good though!

POST 10Original post

I like the stripes. There's a long history of modifying 911s to make them unique.

POST 14Original post

I like stripes, but not off-center ones. Makes the car look unbalanced. I'd replace with a center stripe.

POST 15Original post

Hawk, if you really love the new look, you wouldn't ask for our opinion would you? Personally, I would keep the stripes...

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 14066711

I loved them at first, but the love has faded. I think I will remove them and look for some subtle side graphics, not so over the top maybe.

POST 17Original post

Your car...make it the way you like it. Everyone has an opinion...right? The one that counts is yours!

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 14066422

You should get rid of that wing. Let me know when I can swing by and pick it up! I'd remove the stripes too. I've been thinking about doing a wrap of my hood in satin black. Might be an alternative look for you.

POST 20Original post

IMO....your car looks great and the new front lip will be better....

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 14066408

+996, 2 color theme and it works well keep the stripe

POST 24Original post

If I ever get a big bore rebuild I'll be putting a "3.8" or "4.0" italicized script on the sides behind the front doors (or maybe in front), in silver to match the Carrera logo in back. B*tches love subtlety

POST 26Original post

Get rid of the stripes, the spoiler, all the aero stuff, the wheels, and go back to dead stock.

POST 27Original post

Oh...then like this...I know it's a Boxster...anybody own any of these? Maybe install two fire ext. with roll cage?

POST 28Original post

Quotes source post: 14066236

This. Remove them and make it look more like a Porsche and less like a Firebird.

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I appreciate all the feedback on them. I did decide to remove them after all.

POST 31Original post

Now all you need to do is put the correct badge on the back

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 14068982

really, I have it, it came with the car when I bought it. So maybe I should take a poll on that also!? I don't care either way to be honest with you.

POST 33Original post

It just reminds me of false advertising like that green C2 that is plastered with GT-3 badges Could always go no badge as well

POST 34Original post

I thought it looked best the day you bought it, cept for the side decals 😁

POST 35Original post

I personally like them and say keep em. But for the previous poster that mentioned a face tattoo, I just couldn't resist..
