Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of changing the badging at the back of my Seal Grey 996 C2, and specificially I'm looking at the "911" badge, for example the one offered at design911: http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt62_...96-C4-3-6L-09-01-2005/Rear---Boot-lid-Badges/ I'm just interested in finding out people's opinions on the badging. Stock, modified, or debadged.

POST 4Original post

I think standard is the way to go, but, if I had to choose between the other options it would be '911'. I personally think de-badged looks as if the car's had a repair and the owner hasn't bothered to re-badge it......only my opinion though!

POST 5Original post

Crikey, scrolling down the Design911 page I see my badge will cost £188 to replace if some scr0te nicks it

POST 6Original post

I voted 'Other' I know I may get stick for it but I moved the 'Carrera over to the left and added 'S' I wanted to achieve a later look by doing this and fitting 997 tails.

POST 8Original post

I second this. ANOTHER aspect is what COLOUR to have the Carrera badge. When I got my Ocean Blue 996 it had a BLACK Carrera badge on it, which just looked awful, IMHO. I quickly got a silver C badge and I have to say I think it looks fab with the dark colour of teh paint. You could hardly see the C badge before, I think I would prefer NO badge on a dark paint car to a black badge On a light coloured car im sure the black has a use. Could one spec the colours from new?

POST 9Original post

There's another option you might consider - "P O R S C H E" from the rear of the Panamera. I read somewhere you can buy this in chrome.

POST 10Original post

No. C2s get Black C4s get "Titanium" (silver) Just like your calipers! (obviously that goes awry with yellow PCCBs and red GTs/TT)

POST 12Original post

Years ago I had a Ford Escort company car which had the seperate Chrome lettering Came back to it one day to find the letter R had been removed and the letter T had been put to the front... it then read - TESCO  I left it like it.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My aunt had a knackered Ford Montego. She flipped the M upside down and dropped the E. The result was much more appropriate.

"911" rear badge - spacing Hi, Having swapped the black C2 badge for a silver one in 2008 I now want to swap it for a 911 badge I have bought. Does anyone have the measurements for this re spacing or a similar document? Best Edward
