Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone help me identify the part number for the rubber grommets used on the car body to gain access to cavities.. Their are 3 along each sill and some on the underbody and wheel arches.. I want to spray Bilt Hamber S50 in side them and replace the grommets as the rubber has gone hard over time.. Porsche Bristol are struggling and can't come up with anything so far.. I've attached a pic of one in situ on the underside of the body. Thanks Johnny

POST 2Original post

This sort of thing is an absolute nightmare to try and find part numbers for .. https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?MAK=3&MDL=25&TBL=2622&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0 Its possibly 10 c,d and e here .. google the part numbers and look at images .. im leaning towards 10e but its a total guess . Always worth removing one from your car and looking for a part number on it .. it's what i often do at work .

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Taking one out and checking for the part number sounds like a great shout.. thanks I'll give that a go

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone looking to replace any of the cavity bungs/rubber grommets which are located along the sills in the wheel arches and various other places on the underbody.. I'm just in the process of spraying Bilt Hamber S50 cavity wax in the holes then replacing the grommets as they will have gone hard with age and could be damaged on removal.. After having no luck with Dick Lovetts OPC Bristol getting replacements as they couldn't identify the part bizarrely deMort suggested I remove one to look on it for a part number.. total result part No 803803583A it's a Volkswagen Audi part.. so mystery solved.. many thanks deMort

POST 6Original post

You could just measure the hole and buy that size blanking grommet to cut out the Porsche tax.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nothing like using the right part for the job especially at the price point.. I bought them from Volkswagen not Porsche..
