Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I removed my airbox and then removed the box from inside, installed a tank connector with a cap and placed in back in, with the branch connected.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have the K&N air filter unit on their C4S ? Just thinking about it and looking for some feedback on the various angles and opinions - many thanks in advance cheers Barry

POST 2Original post

Said on here recently by more than the one person - that MAF sensors seem to have a problem with the oil in a K&N - there seem to be more frequent failures of that sensor for little to no extra benefit except a raspy induction roar - I suppose it may have an economical advantage over a long period of time as the standard air filter doesn't therefore need changing.

POST 3Original post

I hate them, The airbox is a great design by Porsche if its sound your after do what I did yesterday my god what a change. I removed my airbox and then removed the box from inside, installed a tank connector with a cap and placed in back in, with the branch connected. I will let me small video do the talking its incredible and you still keep the porsche airbox. The KN needs oiling and can damage the maf, this way is nice noise and a great hiss on gear change. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9Z60BOG_qk
