posted this on newbie section just seen there was a 996 section hello all!
Just joined the forum ,bought my car around 6 months ago Zenith blue 996 3.4
Really pleased with the car this is my first porsche ,ive been fortunate enough to have been a passenger in many porsches over the years, each and every one left a impression on me.
There was a break in the weather today and took her out for a hour ,damp roads and just couldn't stop smiling, so enjoyable hard to put into words really,21 year old porsche on song just perfect!!.
my car is totally standard ,ive just put a 3 spoke steering wheel on her and ive bought some metropole blue sports seats which i will fit over the next few weeks,other than that i may change the exhaust at some point, what great cars these 996 are.
I bought mine from a company called friends green not the cheapest but has had everything done prior to my purchase Ims bearing rms, new clutch discs the works really only 4 owners, just felt right and the prep they put into the cars Luke sells just gave me the confidence so i went for it ..really pleased i did,i stand in the garage just looking at her.... beer in hand totally content, sounds sad but true.

In fact I can't wait to get up tomorrow and drive to work. GF is up at 5am and working in Scotland tomorrow. I'm so jealous I'm not driving up there!
Friends Green seemed to be met with a mixed reception initially, but their YouTube videos and walkarounds do suggest they prepare good stock well. I quite like what I see.
