Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use but not a sufficient amount' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check their call logs and respond accordingly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Actually, what we told you was that your inconsistent results were most likely due to insufficient *cooling* during the dyno run, not insufficient airflow to the intake.

I weighed all parts at AMS using their FedEx approved digital scale.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here’s my delayed report of the installation of my FABSPEED Headers w/200 cell Cats and AWE Cat-Back exhaust system. Installation was performed at
AMS
- Carson, CA on 9-Nov. I did had pre and post dyno’s performed but with uncomplimentary results. After sending the dyno data files to Matt at AWE Tuning. With the help of their engineer it was determined that the Dynojet that has used in this case had insufficient airflow to my CS’s air intake, causing a rich fuel mixture with bogus results.

I weighed all parts at AMS using their FedEx approved digital scale. Follows are the weights of the parts showing the weight loss.
OEM Headers w/bolts: 16.65 lb.
OEM Cat-Back’s w/bolts & clamps: 36.5 lb.
*********** Weight 53.15 lb. ***********
FABSPEED Headers w/bolts: 15.45 lb.
AWE Cat-Back’s w/bolts & clamps: 30.65 lb.
************ Weight 46.1 lb. ************

Total Weight Savings of 7.05 lb.

On the installation, ALL parts mated together like bread and butter. Absolutely zero issues.
Am I happy with the system, yes very. The note is amazing. And after realizing the reason for the poor dyno’s results the butt dyno is now reading positive results.
zornet
Zornet,
Let me know if you go back over to that first dyno you were on to see if they can get the runs right and what gains your combination ends up actually making.
I have heard Zornet's set-up and it had the right blend of growl when you want it, without making the cabin uncomfortable when cruising. This set-up sounds much better than factory and the PSE for Carrera.
It is a very clean install. No hanging mufflers, just some polished metal through the rear diffusers, with a hint of polished steel in the wheel wells from the headers and the pipes into the mufflers. Factory tips sit better than with the factory exhaust.

Man that's shiny. I'm jealous. How is the sound between 2000 and 3000 rpm? Any resonance or overly boomy? Just curious because of the note from AWE about using their system with aftermarket headers.
I went for a ride in Zornet's CS and have been on then street for a drive by.
The exhaust looks and sounds great. It's not loud under normal driving conditions, but give it a little gas and it comes to life with a nice sound and butt dyno says there some extra ponies. I think it's the 37 coats of Zaino weighing that thing down that caused the minimal showing on the dyno. Zornet has the cleanest CS I have ever seen.
Zornet how much did you drive the after the install but before the dyno run?
CCC – Thanks… About three day’s after install for post dyno.
Jhellow – still mums the word with my wife. But actually she likes the note.
Santa Fe – Yes fans were used but not a sufficient amount on the driver’s side air intake.
suneet - No resonance or overly booming @ any rpm including 2000 > 3000.
zornet :burnout:
Nice choices for a hybrid. That would be my best of the best selection also- Just got the AWE, planning on the Fab headers and hope the car gets here before I run out of parts space.
Any triggering of dash warning lights -O2 sensor, ECU etc?
Santa Fe – That should be it other than the possibility of a ECU flash down the road.
PS …I forgot that I’m working on some Mesh inserts on the front of the CS, cant leave good enough alone.

Hi Zornet!
Your dyno sheets also crossed my desk.
Actually, what we told you was that your inconsistent results were most likely due to insufficient *cooling* during the dyno run, not insufficient airflow to the intake.
All 997, 997TT, Cayman, and Boxster 987s are extremely sensitive to coolant temp fluctuations and intake air temperatures.
It is very difficult, though not impossible, to properly cool any car on a dyno, and most dyno operators do not have sufficiently powerful or flexible fan setups.
On these moderm Porsches, that means the ECU will jump to a less aggressive and more conservative performance map, decreasing ignition timing and richening air/fuel mixture. If this happens between runs, which is very common, you will get power results all over the place, as well as air/fuel mistures, which was the giveaway on your charts.
Just an FYI to Cayman owners looking to get their cars dynoed: Insist on high velocity fans placed at the side vents as well as across the front bumper. High powered carpet dryer type fans placed very close to the car work well, as they produce the velocity needed to wick away heat. Big 48"+ fans have high volume (cfm) ratings, but they produce very little velocity, which does little to control the extreme heat swings seen at these spots on the car.
We have spent years perfecting our dyno cooling systems, so any questions regarding properly methodology, please fire away!
Glad to read you are enjoying our muffler. They have been flying off the shelves here.
Todd,
It seams your knowledgeable on this topic so i have a question. You said that if hi speed fans are not used you can get mixed results? is it possible that if the proper fan set was not used you could see no gain or even a loss in HP even after you have upgraded parts on the dyno?? BUT what does that mean for when your driving the car on the street?? assuming we could be driving down the road and get a dyno reading would it more accurate then on dyno due to the cooling???
Thanks Todd for the info. Actually the shop did us one of those carpet dryer fans on the side, but evidently it was off a bit or just not placed correctly. The front fan seemed like it was up-to the task, but how knows. The main thing is NO damage was done.

I personally wouldn't give my business to AWE... I don't like the way the little rectangular cans look... I felt their customer service was poor as they never returned my call...
All the exhaust manufacturers claim HP increase... What else can they do... But if I'm going to put a system on any Porsche of mine it at least has to look good... IMHO
I know this post is in conflict with a site sponsor... But it's my opinion...
Bull_30,
While you ARE entitled to your opinion of the exhaust based on looks, sound, etc. you are not entitled to make false claims. I have no factual information as to whether or not they never returned your call. I saw you raise this claim on ******** and I saw someone from AWE ask for the time/date of your call so they could check their call logs and respond accordingly. Without providing that information AWE has no idea if you really called or not, and neither does anyone else here. In the future if you are going to go beyond opinion with regard to a sponsor then please supply the factual evidence to back up the claim so that it can be addressed with the sponsor.
Thanks for your understanding,
