Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi , I have a coolant coming from the rear drivers side has anybody else had a leak from around this area that could shine a light on where it could be coming from, the car is a 2002 c4s . Thanks Kev

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks like this is where the leak is coming from does anybody know what this is and what's involved to fix / cost ? Thanks Kev

POST 3Original post

It's a small old world ... i did this job last week for a coolant leak .. https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?TBL=2514&MAK=3&MDL=25&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0 15 and 16 here look like the items .. you need to confirm though as i'm no parts guy . Your car has silicone smeared over it as a previous attempt to stop the leak from the looks of it . I can say its fiddly and i had the car on a ramp .. you Will need to drain the engine coolant first .. i pulled a pipe on the o/s/r going to a housing . Bolts should be a torx but yours look to be 10 mm .. if so it's a bit easier but still a bit of a mission to get onto them and undo ... engine brace bar is in the way . Gasket and i fitted dry .. no sealant .. you will need to see if your surfaces are clean with no corrosion .. if corroded then loctite 5900 .. if ok then fit dry . Garage labour .. hmm .. 1 - 1,5 hrs i would guess at .. parts are on the link plus possible antifreeze .
