Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I appreciate they won't replace fasteners unless necessary but you'd expect good practice in using some form of anti seize

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Haven't posted for a while, been very busy with work and a house move and more recently with overhauling the 996 suspension. It's finally sat back down on some new wheels! I've replaced all the arms and bushes and solid bushed the subframe etc. All new TRW parts used and all new bolts. I know have a massive pile of old arms, nuts, bolts, brackets. Are they of any use to anyone? Or am I best leaving them for the scrap man??
I wouldn't ever bother coating them with anything. I would however really go to town on the anti-seize for the bushing bores. In fact, I did just that some years ago when refreshing my suspension. Whenever I've made adjustments since then I've found myself thanking my former self, as previously I had had to cut out the seized bolts.
Totally agree. All new bolts and nuts and liberal coatings of Aluminum anti seize paste. I always do on cars and bikes. I never understand garages that don't do that, surely if you were servicing or working on the same car again at some point you'd be making it as easy as possible!! I appreciate they won't replace fasteners unless necessary but you'd expect good practice in using some form of anti seize
I've waxed them because I wanted them to stay original rather than painted or powder coated which in my opinion doesn't work well on Aluminum products anyway, needs a lot of prep and on under car items it will chip then you get corrosion under the paint/powder coat. I also coat everything in acf50 which is a fantastic product. I'm lucky I have a ramp and so can clean and coat it quite easily
