Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I had the car into a Porsche dealer on Monday and he tried to re-callibrate the system but that didn't help.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guy's, Can anyone tell me what controls the flip up panel (where the roof is stored)? My one is currently not lifting when I press the dash button to close/ open the roof (I now have to manually open/ close the roof; allen key between the rear seats). Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Gary

POST 2Original post

The 'clamshell' lid has a motor drive and cables which attach to the lid hinges to power it up and down. Maybe check the fuses, if not a diagnostic check might show if there is a fault in the system

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard, Thanks. I'll give that a try. I had the car into a Porsche dealer on Monday and he tried to re-callibrate the system but that didn't help. He thought it might be one of the side motors (which operate the side flaps). I put an allen key in both sides and pushed the up button and the key spun around more on one side than the other side - can these be lubed? He also thought it could be one of the side micro switches (the motor does push both switches up though. Can the easily be tested? Otherwise, I.ll try what you said... Cheers :thumb: Gary
