Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just wondering if anyone can help... My roof won't close via the switch on dash (the roof not properly shut/ open dash warning light is illuminated). I took it to Porsche dealer today. The visit cost £120 and all he could tell me was "it could be the left hand rear motor or the micro switch (to operate the sideflap). The side flaps need to move to allow the roof to operate (the Right hand side flap works fine). The estimated bill ->£976.00 & Vat  !!! I looked at the motor and it does extent to push the micro switch. Any ideas anyone out there Thanks Gary

POST 4Original post
