Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 996 3.6 and I have found that after the car has stood for a few weeks without being used it sometimes miss fires and runs very rough. It usually rectifies its self after driving for 15 to 20 minutes or after being left for a few hours. I thought initially it might be down to moisture getting onto the electrics, however it has now started doing this again after being in my garage. Has any of you had the same problem and what might be the cure.

Could also be maf or coilpacks breaking down. BTW this is in the wrong section, if you post in 996 forum you will get a better response
