Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

its busted-- supposely previous owner broke it-- right side of the steering wheel(button) + and - work well where would i get the replacement part for that tiptronic button? dealer quoted me 440$ !!!.....

POST 2Original post

The dealer is your only shot. The switches are part of an assembly and not available separately. Unless you buy a complete steering wheel from a wrecker, and then, there's no guarantee it'll work. I have a complete 4-spoke Tip steering wheel w/ airbag and emblem used only 6k mi. since new when I replaced it with a 3-spoker. I'd sell it for waay south of $440. If interested, send me a PM and make an offer.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

..that makes me sad.... i will keep that in mind (steering wheel deal) thaNK YOU.... sniff sniff.. :troll:

POST 4Original post

Does the switch feel OK? If so, it may just be unplugged. Removing the wheel and looking at the wires would be my first step. Pretty easy. If it is a bad switch you can buy four spoke wheels pretty cheap. Three spoke are a tad more.
