Suggestion
I would have to turn the mirror selector to either the driver side mirror selection or to the nuetral setting for the mirror to reset.

When I back up I have the passenger side view mirror set to change (lower) when I put the car in reverse. When I put the car 1st gear the mirror would reset. The last couple of times after putting the car in reverse the mirror would not reset to to its previous setting when I put the car in 1st gear and started driving. I would have to turn the mirror selector to either the driver side mirror selection or to the nuetral setting for the mirror to reset. Anybody else have this problem? Mike

Good idea! I was just going to say... Having it NOT go back to normal too soon would be a great design. I figure if you are backing up and watching that peskie curb, you might be going in and out of reverse a couple times. (Come on... HOW MANY can do a perfect parallel park???) I hope that was the deal with this situation. I don't think mine does the "lowering" a all... I do it manually. I guess it came with some other package?

I drove for at least two blocks each time at 40 mph and the mirror didn't raise. If you have the electric seats with memory the passenger side view mirror will rotate down when the car is put in reverse when the passenger side mirror is selected on the selector switch. Mike

Hey Doc_Rishi, I found the answer in the user's manual. This mirror dip function is included with the memory seat option.
