Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T031046Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I saw a silver M3 CSL in Germany with black rims that looked amazing. It wasn't painted black, more like shotblasted/powder coated. I've always had a thing for silver cars and black cars with black rims. :worship: Its called satin powdercoated black and i'm having it done. The alloys are in need of a refurb and i've found a good company in Birmingham who does this. Here are some examples so you know what I mean. (Just random pics to show you the colour) Gloss black Satin Black And satin powdercoated which is what i'm having 8) Not sure how my centre caps will look though or if they will need to be painted too :?

POST 2Original post

very nice, I have a friend with a black 996TT who has had the same done, looks great in the flesh.. thinking of doing the same to mine. black / silver cars with black/dark rims you can't go wrong imo. will watch with interest ! :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Which company in Birmingham are you going to use? That exactly what I want to do with mine.

POST 4Original post

Recommend you get the centre caps done at the same time. Assuming you've got colour crested items, the badges will come off. Just make sure they use plenty of glue when resetting the badges

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not at all mate, I may get them done and hate them and then revert back to silver again

POST 11Original post

Just been in contact with Speedwells, £180 for satin black for my GT3. They need a day and half to do the work and that price includes remount and balance!
