Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to sort out if the mufflers from a 996 GT3 are similar (exterior physical dimensions) to those on my GT3. Ideally you will have some images of the mufflers out of the car. Thank you. Craig EDIT with more info I was looking for images of 996 C2 / C4 cans. I want to improve a set of cans with LPPM mod and do not want to cut up a set of GT3 cans if possible. It looks like C2 / C4 cans are the same form factor as GT3 (exterior physical dimensions). Thanks Fracture. I will use a set of them for surgery instead. For reference, here are unmodified GT3 cans. Cheers Craig

Thank you. It looks like you asked Darin to perfrom the LPPM mod. I've done that successfully on 993 and 997 cans. 996 next on the list. Enjoy the new sounds. Craig
