Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Changed all bushes, front and rear, to black's about a year ago at centre of gravity, chris then, about 4 mths, later changed bottom arms to purples when we couldn't stop the blacks squeaking and guess what, purple's are now squeaking.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi has anyone experience of replacing existing bushings with powerflex?

POST 2Original post

If you already have lowered suspension, added PFB's will shake your piles till they break loose. Do you track your car? If you don't and you have normal suspension for everyday driving you can't beat normal bushes IMO.

POST 3Original post

Changed all bushes, front and rear, to black's about a year ago at centre of gravity, chris then, about 4 mths, later changed bottom arms to purples when we couldn't stop the blacks squeaking and guess what, purple's are now squeaking. No real shaking or road noise with either of them, just this annoying squeak that won't go away. Can't speak highly enough about chris at centre of gravity but if i was doing this again i wouldn't be fitting powerflex bushes, go get the hartech bottom arms and get a geo done with chris and you'll have a different car!!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POWERFLEX Thanks, I have been carrying a front end rattle for some months now. Trying to get to the bottom of it. The forum support has been great! It appears now that after top mount, and drop link replacement that anti-roll bar bushings are the last port of call prior to the big bits being looked at. I am London based, Hartech appear to be midlands, do you know how their exchange policy works?and do you always need a geo for all suspension works, I was informed that rear end works require this principally? Any thoughts Thanks M :thumb:

POST 5Original post

Hartech are in Bolton. Exchange arms are all done via post. If you are getting your car geo done at CG then Chris Franklin can sort all of that for you. www.hartech.org.uk www.centergravity.co.uk
