Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would also partially fill the rads as you fit them.

Suggestion
I had one leaking and another weeping, figured the last would be in the same condition so replaced all 3 as I didn't want the additional labour cost when the third did go.
Replace hoses if they are showing signs of deterioration

I also took the view that if I relied on luck I would soon be back to change the other one anyway.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I have a small leak on the passenger side front rad, behind the a/c rad, Is it usual to replace both sides or just the leaking unit?.
any advise for suppliers/best price would be great too as I'll be doing it myself.
Cheers :thumb:
Had two of mine changed at the same time (by OPC) - only charged the parts price of second rad as removal draining and refitting is in the time and cost of first rad.
I took the view that they would have both been the same age, same general level of corrosion and average stone impacts. I also took the view that if I relied on luck I would soon be back to change the other one anyway.
On the other hand I just changed the one that was leaking as I was a bit short on the folding at the time and am happy to take pot-luck on when the other side will also go.
I had one leaking and another weeping, figured the last would be in the same condition so replaced all 3 as I didn't want the additional labour cost when the third did go. Depends if you fancy doing the job again if you are diy and can you afford to shell out for the other rads at the same time. I recall GSF were the cheapest when I looked at supplying the parts myself.
Brumbrum, the job is easy to do. I hope this link still works

You can source the parts from various suppliers, get the Porsche part code and google it - also available at OPC and ebay and maybe GSF. I would replace both if I were you.
I would also partially fill the rads as you fit them. You can also bleed the system with the PU off by not tightening the clamps fully. Once your system is bled you can replace the PU. Also check and replace your hoses if they are showing signs of deterioration.
Also check the aircon condensers while you have the front PU off - leaks are obvious as they show up as a dark oily stain or you can see flourescent dye that is added to the system for detecting leaks. If you change the aircon condensers you can get the sytem recharged at Kwikfit at a low cost.
good luck
