Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking for seat bottom upholstery for a 2000 Cabrio 996 in Savanna Beige with perforated inserts...Not feeling the need to spend $1K on re upholstering the whole thing... Seat backs are still good... any ideas?😕

POST 2Original post

you might check with someplace like DC Automotive in NC and buy seat bottoms. Another option is to go to an upholsterer with the seat bottom(s) and have them install new material. Aftermarket repro's are available.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Tony... Forgot about DC! I'll check with them.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well...no luck. Anyone with a good pair of seat bottoms?

POST 5Original post

Had another thought. Try posting a question on the racing site. A lot of those guys have gutted the stock interiors and most of them sit around in a garage somewhere. I know guys here in Western NY that have Cayman interiors they can't give away.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
