Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi everyone
I'm new to website so bear with me.
I've got a 2003 turbo and lately it seems to be losing power for a second or 2 whilst the turbo is kicking in, just like its lurching on the turbo. Taken it to porsche and they say it is fine but surely it would have done it when i bought it in december. Any help would be appreciated
Cheers for the replies, only thing is i know absolutely nothing about where the maf sensor is or what is does. would it be better to take it to a garage to sort or is it pretty straight forward?
Dont have a turbo (C2 myself) but it will be a wired plastic item protruding a couple of inches from an air intake in the engine bay - I imagine a couple of screws holding it to an air intake. Simple remove on a C2 and no doubt a turbo owner will pinpoint it for you.
OPC will charge approx twice the price for a new one than a correctly sourced oe (bosch unit) do not get a copy part. You can clean it but the sensor is very sensitive sometimes it works some times not.
£150 ish gen bosch part.
OPC will diagnos and sell you:
Lambda sensors
Plugs
Coil packs
and then tell you it may be the MAF
Change the MAF and your car will explode into life like you can not imagine.Maf does not always load a fault code but it still messes with your fuel settings.Code will read that there is a o2 level issue and this is where the guessing begins.
P.O.P. to change you just need the correct torx bit for the two screws and pull it out and clip on the cable.
Google "MAF sensor" and see what it looks like and then you can find it on the air intake.
Reset ECU
Ignition on but engine not running(this stops all alarm issues after disconnection)
Remove the earth cable from the battery.
Drink a cup of tea.Talk to car and tell him things will feel better very soon!
Replace the earth cable.
Reset your clock and your radio code.
Drive your new born TT
ECU will learn your style again over a period of time.
You can do this and if successful this will give you an enormous sense of well being.
Porklife!
TT brotherhood please add or correct me anywhere you feel necessary.
If all this fails then the car should be instantly swoped for a 98 c2.
911tox - welcome to the forum from a fellow Derbyshire member :salut:
There's some very helpful people on here which is a credit to this forum. However. if you don't feel confident in tackling you motor hands on, there is a good indie in Calverton, North Nottinghamshire called Zentrum. The chap to speak to is Mike who is very helpful. :thumb:
There is a external link which illustrates how easily it is. I will get this to you as soon as I get home.....
Dont fret - She will be churning out 300g of Co2 again very sooon
