Has anyone come across this, I was thinking of taking it out, I took the dash apart yesterday but to fully remove it I'd have to disconnect the PCM - would I require any codes for this or do they have comfort coding??

If I have it in the use mode the phone works fine, but obviously no changer.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I have my 2003 996TT with PCM2.0 - when I bought the car it had a Denison Gateway 500 fitted but this seems to interfere with the CD Changer and Phone module?? If I have it in bypass mode, the cd changer seems to work ok but the phone doesn't (randomly does come on!) If I have it in the use mode the phone works fine, but obviously no changer. Has anyone come across this, I was thinking of taking it out, I took the dash apart yesterday but to fully remove it I'd have to disconnect the PCM - would I require any codes for this or do they have comfort coding?? Any help appreciated, also my phone handset doesn't seem to operate, not sure why? Thanks Rick

POST 2Original post
